Stacey Sansom Designs | WEBSITE UPDATES September 2025

If you notice things getting a little wonky on the website over the past few days, do not fret! Stacey Sansom Designs is working on the website. Updates have been a long time coming, but I have pushed them to the back burner so that I could do the work you all want.

The past couple of months, alteration services have been slower, so I decided to get started. These changes will be ongoing for a little while. While I would love to complete it in one sitting, it is not possible. I am one person. Time spent updating the website is time I cannot spend working on bringing you alteration services or any other service provided.

What is changing?

Since the website updates are ongoing, there is no specific “what is changing” statement. This is evolving as it goes. Because it is not a strict website or graphic design project, parts may change multiple times over. I am dabbling. I am making adjustments to see what works better. Ultimately, I am trying to fix some things that have been bothering me for a long time.

Updated Appointment Scheduling

One thing that I am focusing on is the process for scheduling appointments. I need something more automated for some customers. Other customers require more hand-holding to narrow down services that are best suited for their situation. This means I need a flexible scheduling format.

I have not found a perfect scheduling platform. The current implementation is easy to use, but has many disadvantages. It does not handle frequently changing availability. I am updating it with current services and availability, as is allowed. If you are looking for an appointment time outside of the displayed availability, reach out to Stacey Sansom Designs directly. Appointments may be available.

More information

My goal is to provide more detailed information about each service provided. I know that some people do not understand what is entailed in some services I provide – especially what to expect. I want the experience to be positive for everyone. Educating the customer before scheduling an appointment can help ease customer concerns.

All questions should be directed to Stacey at Stacey Sansom Designs. There are no silly questions.

A reminder…

Some things have already been mentioned in previous posts. Please review these posts. The following is for highlighting purposes only.

Updated pricing

I try to keep my prices competitive, but I have come to realize a few things over the past few years in business.

Some services are no longer sustainable at the prices I have been charging due to fluctuations in supply and pricing. I do not have close access to some supplies and must account for drive time and/or shipping costs. As everyone is aware, prices are trending upward. I have held off as long as I could, and it is now necessary to increase some prices to make up the difference.

That being said, competitive does not mean cheap! I have too much knowledge and experience to charge rock bottom prices. You are paying for a professional service. This service is available because of my expertise and training. This is reflected in the quality of my work.

Services available

Some services are changing. These will be reflected over time with website updates. I am working on developing pages for each service with pertinent information. In the future, you will be able to schedule appointments directly from these informative pages.

Sewing lessons will be returning on a limited and case-by-case basis. If there is demand, I will open more classes. I am currently easing back into lessons. I am now offering lessons at your location (if conducive to my health), if interested in consistent and repeated classes. These class prices will include my instruction time and travel. Due to the location, these will be scheduled well in advance. Cancellation fees will apply.

Stay tuned for more information about this. For now, check out the sewing lessons overview page.

What you can expect

While the website is undergoing updates, please be patient!

You may experience duplicate items on some pages. You do not need to report this. I am aware of the problem. Work is underway to resolve it. This could be a duplication of headers and/or images.

Some portions may be completely missing on mobile platforms. I would love to say that 90% of my customer base visits the website from their mobile devices, but that is not the case. In fact, almost 67% of you are using a laptop or desktop computer. My goal is a website that is platform-independent. My current focus is on the primary use case.

Things may move around. This may result in temporarily broken links. These will be fixed. Most things may be accessed multiple ways on the website. Try another route.

How long will it take?

I do not know. The website update process will take as long as it takes. I am only one person. I have the skills and know-how to do the website updates myself. That is why I am doing it. I still maintain a handful of website and graphic design customers from my pre-seamstress days. Providing services to all customers, old and new, is my priority. This may cause time gaps when I can work on the website updates. Please be patient.
